I've encountered an annoying bug which makes me unable to move. It happens when I switch to scan and then try exit scan to go back to moving about. Pressing esc in scan removes the "scan mode" text on screen but leaves the screen centered where I was when I pressed esc. That is to say not back to Bob. Nothing I press will make Bob or ship move. The only thing I can do is switch weapons and go back to esc screen.
